Every publisher of radio programming must obtain a radio broadcasting licence before broadcasting its radio programme, regardless of the broadcasting platform. The procedure for obtaining a license is detailed in Articles 79 and 80 of the Media Act and the General act on the license for providing radio or television activities.
Procedure for obtaining a radio broadcasting licence
The Agency shall issue the licence upon application by the broadcaster. The condition for obtaining the licence is a registered radio activity. The application for obtaining the licence must contain:
- information on the broadcaster (personal name, address and tax number for natural persons, or company name, registered office, tax number, registration number and legal representative for legal persons),
- information on the type of activity (i.e. radio activity),
- the name and identification of the radio programme,
- a completed form on the basic programme requirements that the broadcaster will take into account in the dissemination of the programme,
- the possible specification of the type of thematic programme, if any,
- local windows, if any,
- the possible integration into a programme network and the programme requirements that the broadcaster will take into account in its dissemination, its name, identification and logo,
- copies of contracts concluded with collective management organisations for the management of copyright and related rights in the works to be broadcast on its programme.
