Granting of statuses and certification

Regulation 2022/2065/EU on a Single Market for Digital Services and amending Directive 2000/31/EC (Digital Services Act) provides for a specific role for certain entities that have been granted a certain status by the competent Digital Services Coordinator in relation to the obligations that apply to online platform providers. Trusted flaggers have the possibility, in accordance with Article 22 of the DSA, to lodge a complaint with online platforms, which must be dealt with without undue delay. Out-of-court dispute resolution bodies have the power, in accordance with Article 21 of the DSA, to resolve disputes arising between service users and online platform providers. Vetted researchers have the possibility, in accordance with Article 40 of the DSA, to request certain data from providers of VLOPs or VLOSEs that they need to carry out certain professional tasks.
